Alright I can't remember the exact week I did this but I finally got the courage to get my cholesterol checked (among other things)
Thanks Vince for keeping me occupied so I wouldn't pass out ;)

#46 Go to a movie by myself (1/1)
(1) 4/17/09
Saw State of Play today on a personal vacation day where I saw a movie, took myself out to eat, and got a massage. Overall it was a great day! Also the movie was VERY good. (5 out of 5 stars)

#37 Buy a pedometer
(1) 2/25/09
Bought a pedometer today. To make it more fun I bought a Pokemon Pikachu 2 pedometer new off Ebay! I'm averaging about 11,000 steps a day, not sure if that's good but it's something. You can play games with him and it logs how many steps you take in a day. (sound can also be shut off which is awesome)

#20 Watch 20 documentaries
(7) 6/27/09 FOOD, INC.
I guess this movie could also go under documentary just like Anvil so i'll probably do both. This movie kept me very entertained and it was informative on where food comes from and how exactly it's processed. Going organic can do wonders, why not try? (5 stars out of 5)
(6) 4/24/09
Went to see "Anvil! The Story of Anvil" at the old Kendall theatre today. It was a great movie/rockumentary that followed Anvil and their struggle to be recognized among the greats. At the end of the film you really feel their emotion. (5 stars out of 5)
(5) 3/18/2009
Saw "The Devil Came on Horseback" today. It is a first hand experience of the genocide in Darfur through the eyes of a former marine captain. This 2007 documentary was a big hit with critics and it's not easy to look away from the graphic photographs he had taken. (5 stars out of 5)
(4) 3/4/2009
Today I watched "Who Killed the Electric Car?" This documentary points out there were electric cars actually produced in the 90s by GM but hardly anyone would know now. They brought up some good points in this documentary but I couldn't help but fall asleep towards the end. Pure electric cars will happen in another 10 years and be mainstream, but where does electricity come from? Burning coal... we need more alternative energies. (3 stars out of 5)
(3) 2/27/09
Love netflix! Got to see another documentary by Michael Moore today called "Sicko". It points out what is wrong with America's health care system and gives you a peek at other countries health care systems and what people think of ours. It's a very good documentary, even better than Bowling for Columbine. I recommend it! (5 stars out of 5)
(2) 2/25/09
Watched "An Inconvenient Truth" today. This documentary was released in 2006, starring Al Gore. I liked a lot of the facts that were given which pointed towards global warming, but there's obviously skeptics out there. Even if global warming turns out to be nothing at all (shifting of the poles), the best thing to come out of this is awareness of our own poisoning of the environment and a speedy resolution to rectify the damage we have done. The US is getting there but behind other countries in the race, go figure =P (4 stars out of 5)
(1) 2/12/09
Saw "Bowling for Columbine" today. This documentary (released in 2002) is one of many by Michael Moore. Overall I loved it and recommend this to anyone interested, even if Michael Moore is not one of your favorite filmmakers...

#18 See 100 new movies
(21) 8/15/09 DISTRICT 9
Sci-fi flick full of action and good way to end the summer. Notice my emphasis on "good"... it wasn't grade A, but the CG was really top notch and the acting wasn't bad. Also for a warning this movie was LONG and seemed that way, but it gave just enough time to play out both sides of the fence so to speak...(4 stars out of 5)
(20) 8/5/09 500 DAYS OF SUMMER
Great romantic flick that seemed down to earth, but shows you how love can be funny sometimes. (4 stars out of 5)
(19) 7/25/09 THE HURT LOCKER
A+ movie and directed by a woman! Keeps you watching and even though you had to run to the restroom after drinking that extra large slurpee, you'll want to hang on to your seat so you don't miss a minute. (5 stars out of 5)
(18) 7/18/09 PUBLIC ENEMIES
Johnny Depp's acting was superb as usual, but this movie is anything but memorable. The action was entertaining, but this movie fell flat. (3 stars out of 5)
(17) 7/11/09 BRUNO
This movie was just as I expected, funny, but too over the top... Borat seemed a step above. (3 stars out of 5)
(16) 7/3/09 ICE AGE: DAWN OF THE DINOSAURS
Loved this movie, and not just because of the dinos... the jokes kept coming and never let up and there was plenty of action. I enjoyed the original film the most, but this is a good contender. (4 stars out of 5)
(15) 6/27/09 FOOD, INC.
I guess this movie could also go under documentary just like Anvil so i'll probably do both. This movie kept me very entertained and it was informative on where food comes from and how exactly it's processed. Going organic can do wonders, why not try? (5 stars out of 5)
(14) 6/13/09 LAND OF THE LOST
Another terrible movie that made you look at your watch constantly to time exactly how long you have to go until the ending credits roll... (1 star out of 5)
(13) 6/6/09 THE HANGOVER
One of the best comedies of the year, "The Hangover" came to the rescue in June and had us rolling in our seats. The baby was a nice edition... and attack of the scrubby comedians!! (5 stars out of 5)
(12) 5/30/09 UP
This movie was just as I expected... cute, smart, and more advanced CG than the predecessors. Sad at times, but also made you laugh twice as much. Pixar never lets you down! (5 stars out of 5)
(11) 5/23/09 ANGELS & DEMONS
Saw this movie at the theater with friends today, it was okay but I never saw the movie that came before it. I was told you did not have to see "The DaVinci Code" prior since this was a prequel, but this movie was terrible! Not for the ending twist this movie would get no stars. (1 star out of 5)
(10) 5/8/09
Saw one of the best films of 2009 this year, "Star Trek"! I'm not usually big on remakes and ddn't have high hopes for this one but i'm sure glad I went to see it... so good I saw it twice. (5 stars out of 5)
(9) 5/2/09
Saw X-Men Origins: Wolverine at the movies today. It was a pretty good X-Men flick, with you guessed it Wolverine in starring role. He, being my favorite X-Men character like many other fans out there went to see this movie with high hopes. It was a nice ride but not a movie I would like to see again at the theater or on DVD unfortunately. (3 stars out of 5)
(8) 5/1/09
Watched "The Killing" today. One of Kubrick's early works, this movie was great and kept you entertained the whole time. (5 stars out of 5)
(7) 4/24/09
Went to see "Anvil! The Story of Anvil" at the old Kendall theatre today. It was a great movie/rockumentary that followed Anvil and their struggle to be recognized among the greats. At the end of the film you really feel their emotion. (5 stars out of 5)
(6) 4/11/09
Saw "Observe and Report" with Vince today. It was one of Seth Rogen's darker films. One person quoted that this movie is what The Cable Guy was to Jim Carrey. (4 stars out of 5)
(5) 3/28/09
Saw "The Watchmen" today with Vince. It was much better than I expected. Looks like they spent a shitload of money to produce all the graphics/FX. Never read the original comic so it was all new to me. (4 stars out of 5)
(4) 2/23/09
Watched "Monkey Shines" today. This movie is from 1988, and directed by George A. Romero. Looks like the guy from office space was in this movie too?
It's a pretty decent horror/suspense flick and ultra cheesy towards the end. But we all like some cheesiness in are horror movies right?? They obviously have disclaimers that "no monkeys were harmed in the making of this film" but seriously who would want one after watching this? (3 stars out of 5)
(3) 2/18/09
Took 2 days but finished the movie "IT" based on the book by Stephen King. It is about a clown terrorizing a small Maine town (go figure). The Movie(maybe a television mini?) was pretty long and I think it even had young Seth Green in it?? I always wanted to see this movie but never had the chance.. I work in a library and they had it to loan so it was perfect! **warning do not watch if you have a fear of clowns** (4 stars out of 5)
(2) 2/7/09
Saw Coraline today in 3D. It was okay, was expecting more but the 3D was great and loved the black cat! (3 stars out of 5)
(1) 1/31/09
Went to see "The Wrestler" today at Davis theater. What a great movie! I also love Darren Aronofsky, the director. According to RottenTomatoes.com he will be directing Robocop in the future! (5 stars out of 5)

#26 Donate or sell 100 items I don't use anymore
(12-19) 5/1/09
Got new clothes so out with the old. Gave away 7 shirts to goodwill.
(2-11) 2/28/09
Today I got a new dresser so it was time to go through the old clothes! Gave away 5 shirts and 5 pairs of pants to goodwill.
(1) 1/28/09
Your Ebay item sold!
Basically I sold my old digi cam for $65 on Ebay and used that toward the purchase of my new (and blue!) Canon PowerShot SD1100 IS. The new camera blows it out of the water and is smaller to boot!
